Exceptional grape season generated US$ 139.8 millions

Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR) informed that the exports of Peruvian grapes have risen to 139.8 million dollars in the last season (from October,

2009 to January, 210), a 93.6% increment in comparison to last year’s season.

“The grapes season was exceptional and 60.000 tons of then were exported, contrary to the 41 tons exported in the last season,”explained BCR’s Economic Activity report in January 2010.

It also indicated that in the last five seasons, the superficies of grape harvest have increased 16% due to the major impulse from the selling last year.
